Welcome to M Service Cleaners Ltd. This page sets out important employment policies, workplace expectations, safety requirements, equipment responsibilities, confidentiality obligations, and client protection terms that apply to all employees of the Company.

These terms are intended to support a professional, safe, respectful, and legally compliant workplace. All employees are expected to read this page carefully before submitting their payroll and onboarding form.

By checking the acknowledgement box on the payroll form, and by electronically signing and submitting that form, the employee confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the terms set out on this page, together with all other lawful workplace policies, procedures, and instructions of M Service Cleaners Ltd.

1. Employee Policy Agreement

The employee acknowledges that M Service Cleaners Ltd maintains workplace rules, standards, and policies for the proper operation of the business and the protection of clients, employees, company property, and the public. The employee agrees to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and responsible manner at all times while representing the Company.

The employee must, at all times:

  • report to work on time and ready to perform assigned duties;

  • maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance, including wearing the required uniform or dress standard where applicable;

  • treat clients, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, and members of the public with respect and professionalism;

  • follow all lawful company instructions, site-specific requirements, cleaning procedures, and job assignments;

  • protect the reputation, business interests, and professional image of M Service Cleaners Ltd; and

  • comply with all applicable company policies as updated from time to time.

The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment:

  • theft, dishonesty, fraud, or misuse of client or company property;

  • harassment, discrimination, violence, threats, intimidation, or other inappropriate workplace conduct;

  • reporting to work unfit for duty or under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or other impairing substances, subject to applicable law;

  • falsifying timesheets, payroll information, work records, inspection reports, or company documents;

  • leaving an assigned work site without authorization;

  • disclosing confidential information;

  • performing unauthorized private work for clients of the Company; and

  • misrepresenting the Company, its authority, pricing, services, or policies.

2. Employee Employment Terms Agreement

The employee acknowledges that employment with M Service Cleaners Ltd is subject to the hiring terms communicated by the Company, including position, employment status, wage rate, hours of work, and job assignments.

Unless otherwise stated in a separate written employment offer or hiring document, the employee understands and agrees that:

  • the employee may be hired as full-time, part-time, or casual, depending on business requirements and the Company’s written hiring confirmation;

  • job duties may include residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, move-in or move-out cleaning, deep cleaning, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, post-construction cleaning, specialty cleaning, and other related services assigned by the Company;

  • work may be performed at different client locations and the employee may be required to travel within the Company’s service area for assigned shifts;

  • work schedules may vary depending on client demand, operational requirements, seasonal needs, and staffing availability;

  • wages will be paid in accordance with the wage rate agreed during hiring and in accordance with the Company’s payroll practices and applicable law;

  • payroll will be processed by direct deposit unless otherwise approved by the Company;

  • all statutory deductions required by law will be deducted from earnings;

  • the employee may be subject to an introductory probationary period in accordance with Company policy and applicable law; and

  • the Company may change work assignments, client locations, schedules, methods, reporting structures, and operational procedures as reasonably required by business needs.

The employee agrees to perform all assigned duties honestly, diligently, competently, and in accordance with Company standards, client instructions, and applicable law.

Nothing on this page is intended to remove or reduce any minimum employment standards that apply under Alberta law.

3. Attendance, Reliability and Workplace Conduct Agreement

Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential conditions of employment.

The employee agrees to:

  • attend all scheduled shifts unless excused or otherwise authorized by the Company;

  • notify management as soon as reasonably possible if they will be absent, delayed, or unable to complete a scheduled assignment;

  • provide reasonable notice for absences whenever possible;

  • remain at the assigned work site for the full authorized shift unless management approves otherwise; and

  • cooperate with supervisors and management regarding scheduling, site access, and service requirements.

Repeated lateness, absenteeism, failure to report to work, failure to communicate, abandonment of shift, or repeated failure to follow schedule instructions may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

The employee must maintain professional behavior at all client sites and during all work-related communications. The employee must not engage in conduct that may harm the safety, reputation, client relationships, or business operations of M Service Cleaners Ltd.

4. Employee Safety and Conduct Policy Agreement

M Service Cleaners Ltd is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. The employee agrees to comply with all occupational health and safety requirements, all workplace safety rules, all client-site safety procedures, and all Company training and instructions.

The employee must:

  • perform work safely and use reasonable care to protect themselves, other workers, clients, occupants, and the public;

  • follow all WHMIS requirements, safety instructions, labels, product directions, and training materials;

  • use cleaning chemicals only as directed and only for authorized work purposes;

  • never mix chemicals unless specifically trained and authorized to do so;

  • use personal protective equipment where required;

  • immediately report hazards, unsafe conditions, injuries, near misses, spills, damaged equipment, and safety concerns to management;

  • use proper lifting, handling, storage, and disposal practices; and

  • stop and seek guidance where the employee does not understand a task, safety instruction, or chemical-handling procedure.

The employee understands that unsafe conduct, failure to follow safety procedures, misuse of chemicals, refusal to follow lawful safety instructions, or conduct that creates risk to people or property may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

5. Chemical Handling, Supplies and Equipment Responsibility Agreement

During employment, the employee may be given access to Company supplies, tools, machines, uniforms, keys, alarm codes, site access information, documents, devices, and other materials required to perform work.

All such items remain the property of M Service Cleaners Ltd or the applicable client, unless expressly stated otherwise.

The employee agrees to:

  • use Company equipment, supplies, materials, access information, and property only for authorized business purposes;

  • handle all equipment and supplies carefully and responsibly;

  • keep equipment and materials reasonably clean, secure, and in good condition, subject to normal wear and tear;

  • immediately report lost, stolen, malfunctioning, broken, or damaged equipment or materials;

  • return all Company property immediately upon request or upon the end of employment; and

  • not remove, copy, duplicate, lend, transfer, or misuse any Company or client property without authorization.

Where keys, lockboxes, alarm codes, entry codes, cards, or access credentials are provided, the employee must keep them secure and confidential at all times.

The employee must never:

  • duplicate keys or access devices;

  • share access information with any unauthorized person;

  • store access information carelessly;

  • enter a client site without authorization; or

  • use client access information for any purpose other than assigned Company work.

Any misuse of company property, equipment, supplies, keys, records, or client access information may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, and may also result in other lawful action where appropriate.

6. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement

During employment, the employee may have access to confidential information relating to the Company, its operations, its workers, and its clients.

Confidential information includes, without limitation:

  • client names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, schedules, and service details;

  • property layouts, alarm codes, keys, access instructions, lockbox details, and entry procedures;

  • Company pricing, quotes, service contracts, methods, systems, checklists, schedules, training materials, and internal procedures;

  • payroll-related information, employee records, and internal business information; and

  • any non-public information obtained through employment with the Company.

The employee agrees that all such information is confidential and must be protected at all times.

The employee must not, during employment or after employment ends:

  • disclose confidential information to any unauthorized person;

  • copy, retain, download, forward, photograph, or use confidential information except as required for legitimate Company work;

  • discuss client matters publicly or with unauthorized persons;

  • post, share, or publish any client, job-site, or Company information on social media or online platforms;

  • take photographs or videos at a client site without prior Company authorization; or

  • use confidential information for personal benefit or for the benefit of another person or business.

7. Client Protection and Non-Solicitation Agreement

The employee acknowledges that client relationships developed and maintained by M Service Cleaners Ltd are valuable business assets of the Company.

The employee agrees that, during employment, they will not directly or indirectly:

  • offer private cleaning services or related services to any client or customer of M Service Cleaners Ltd outside the Company;

  • request, encourage, or assist any client to stop using the Company’s services;

  • use Company client information to compete with the Company; or

  • accept private work from a Company client that arose through the employee’s work with the Company, unless the Company provides prior written consent.

Following the end of employment, the employee agrees that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, they will not use confidential Company or client information to solicit or divert clients of M Service Cleaners Ltd for personal gain or for the benefit of another business.

All client relationships, goodwill, service records, pricing information, and work opportunities developed through Company operations remain the exclusive business interest of M Service Cleaners Ltd.

8. Privacy and Employee Information Acknowledgement

The employee understands that the Company may collect, use, store, and disclose personal employee information for reasonable purposes related to recruiting, hiring, payroll, scheduling, supervision, training, benefits administration where applicable, workplace safety, performance management, legal compliance, and the ongoing management or ending of the employment relationship.

The employee agrees to provide accurate, complete, and current information to the Company and to promptly notify the Company of any change to payroll, contact, banking, emergency contact, or employment-related information.

The employee understands that the Company will handle employee personal information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.

9. Incident Reporting and Duty to Report

The employee must immediately, or as soon as reasonably possible, report all workplace incidents to management, including:

  • injuries or illnesses arising at work;

  • hazards and unsafe conditions;

  • chemical spills or exposure incidents;

  • damage to client or Company property;

  • lost keys, access cards, or security information;

  • client complaints, disputes, or unusual incidents at a work site; and

  • any event that may affect the safety, legal compliance, reputation, or business interests of the Company.

Failure to report a serious incident, loss, hazard, or safety issue may result in disciplinary action.

10. Return of Property and End of Employment Obligations

Upon request by the Company, or immediately upon suspension, leave, resignation, or termination of employment, the employee must return all Company and client property in their possession, custody, or control, including:

  • keys, cards, access devices, and codes;

  • equipment, machines, supplies, and tools;

  • uniforms and identification items;

  • documents, records, schedules, and written materials;

  • electronic files, photographs, messages, and digital information belonging to the Company or relating to Company clients; and

  • all other property, materials, and information obtained through employment.

The employee’s obligations regarding confidentiality, privacy, protection of client information, and protection of Company business interests continue after employment ends.

11. Company Right to Update Policies

M Service Cleaners Ltd may revise, update, replace, or add to its policies, procedures, safety requirements, job expectations, and administrative practices from time to time in order to meet legal, operational, safety, client, or business requirements.

Employees are expected to comply with all such policies as amended, provided they are lawful and communicated by the Company.

12. Electronic Acknowledgement and Agreement

By checking the acknowledgement box on the payroll or onboarding form, and by electronically signing and submitting that form, the employee confirms and agrees that:

  • they have accessed and read this page in full;

  • they understand the contents of this page;

  • they have had the opportunity to ask the Company questions before submission if clarification was required;

  • they agree to comply with all terms, policies, standards, and responsibilities set out on this page; and

  • their electronic acknowledgement and signature are intended to have the same effect as a written acknowledgement for Company onboarding and recordkeeping purposes, subject to applicable law.
